Sunu Assurances Formerly – (Equity Assurance Company Limited)

Sunu Assurances Ghana Limited was incorporated as Equity Assurance Ghana on 28th February 2008 as a Non-Life Insurance Company. The company is a corporate member of the West African Insurance Company Association (WAICA) and the Ghana Insurers’ Association (GIA), the official umbrella of registered insurance companies in Ghana, as well as The Africa Insurance Organisation (AIO).
In January 2018, we changed our name from Equity Assurance Ghana Limited to SUNU Assurances Ghana Limited with due approval from our Shareholders and our Regulator, The National Insurance Commission (NIC).

The name change was strategic and designed to align with the exemplary brand of our parent company, The SUNU Group. It is worthy to note that SUNU Group is a foremost Pan-African Insurance Group with asset base of over $623 Million and operations in 14 African Countries spanning West and Central Africa. Our new name reflects our Pan-African presence as a full-fledged member of the SUNU Group.

Apart from its Accra Head Office, the Company also has branches and contact Offices on Spintex Road in Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Obuasi, Tamale, Takoradi, Koforidua and Sunyani.
