Ghana Climate Innovation Centre

Founded in 2016, the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) is a pioneering business incubator with a unique
focus on developing SME ventures and entrepreneurs in Ghana’s ‘Green Economy’.

Mission

To develop and support an exceptional set of transformational ventures and entrepreneurs who are pioneering
adaptive and mitigating solutions for climate change issues in Ghana. We do this with a focus on five key economic sectors (energy efficiency & renewable energy; solar power; climate smart agriculture; domestic waste management; water management and purification), the provision of premium business advisory and business mentoring services, technical support in the development, prototyping and testing of their innovation, as well as financial Proof of Concept grants to qualifying SMEs within our incubator.

Special Focus on Women

The Women Entrepreneurs Transformation Program (WETP) is a program for women entrepreneurs within the GCIC incubator aimed at unleashing the untapped potential of female entrepreneurs. GCIC works with feminine leadership and life coach to take our women entrepreneurs through a journey which seeks to transform their leadership with increased authenticity, trust, and awareness.

One of the key expected impact that the program seeks to achieve is to support women to lead from the inside out, so that they are enabled to lead their businesses purposefully, authentically and consciously, and ultimately have an impact on the transformation of Ghana’s economy, and especially the green economy.
