The School started as a day school with hostel facilities and became a boarding school from the 2000/2001 academic year. In August 2015, Rev. Ebenezer Asiedu took over as the Headmaster of the school. The school offers programs in General Arts, General Science, Agriculture, Home Economics, Visual Arts and Technical Education. The academic performance of the school had been good since its establishment with discipline as its hallmark. The school is located at Aburi Akwapim near the Aburi Botanical Gardens in the Akwapim South District of the Eastern Region.
